FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Terri Lubaroff Named Chief Operating Officer Of Legion M, Also Overseeing Development Slate at Fan-Owned Entertainment Company

Lubaroff, a Veteran of Entertainment and Comics, Joins Executive Team While Continuing Production Role at Equity-Crowdfunded Legion M

LOS ANGELES (December 20, 2017) Legion M, the world’s first fan-owned entertainment company, has named Terri Lubaroff chief operating officer, where she will oversee legal, finance and human resources functions, as well as management of the company’s day-to-day operations, while continuing to oversee Legion M’s fast-growing development slate.  Lubaroff has also been appointed to the company’s board of directors.

With more than 20 years in the entertainment industry spanning leadership roles across numerous divisions, including law and mediation, film and TV development, talent and literary management, and writing and producing, Lubaroff came to Legion M when it was formed in 2016, initially heading content-acquisition efforts.

Legion M uses new equity crowdfunding laws enabled by the federal JOBS Act to give fans the opportunity to invest directly in an early stage entertainment company. Legion M has raised nearly $4 million in funding, making it one of the most successful JOBS Act companies in history.

“From day one as a founding employee, blazing new trails in entertainment financing, production and marketing with Legion M’s amazing team has been incredibly rewarding, and I am excited to take on a larger executive role within the company as we continue to innovate and grow our fan-focused mission,” Lubaroff said.

Lubaroff previously served as chief operating officer of Meltdown Comics and Collectibles, Meltdown Entertainment, as well as its tech incubator Meltdown Reactor, which she also co-founded and launched.  Lubaroff began her career at Meltdown after

working as the company’s lawyer and mediator through Lubaroff Entertainment Law & Mediation, which she started in 2009.

“Terri has played a critical role in the formation and continued growth and success of Legion M,” said Paul Scanlan, co-founder and CEO.  “This promotion is a well-deserved acknowledgment of the diverse roles and responsibilities Terri has capably taken on and the remarkable leadership skills she demonstrates every day.”

Jeff Annison, Legion M cofounder and president, added, “When it was time to hire a chief operating officer, we knew our search began and ended with Terri.  She will do a fantastic job and we are lucky Terri can wear many hats as her continued leadership over our development slate, as well as her talent as a writer and producer, is invaluable.”

The appointment of Lubaroff as chief operating officer coincides with Legion M’s continued growth; the company anticipates a new public offering in early 2018.  Legion M has recently joined producers SpectreVision, XYZ Films and Umedia as a production partner in the upcoming action-thriller MANDY, starring Academy Award® winner Nicolas Cage.  MANDY will make its theatrical debut as a Midnight screening at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.

Revolutionizing the way entertainment is made, Legion M encompasses a global community of tens of thousands of members and fan-owners around the world.  Its slate of film, TV, digital and VR projects includes feature-film projects in various stages of development; multiple series for network, cable and digital TV; as well as interactive and VR-based projects. Legion M was an investor in the critically acclaimed Colossal, starring Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis, and directed by Nacho Vigalondo.
