We are beyond excited to announce that we are partnering with the revered comic book creator and publisher Stranger Comics to help turn our Defiant: The Story of Robert Smalls graphic novel into a bestseller!

Stranger Comics founder and president Sebastian A. Jones (creator of Niobe) and his team, which includes Joshua Cozine and Darrell May, have hit the ground running and will be overseeing the graphic novel production, publishing and distribution. The goal is simple, to tell this incredible story in the most powerful and compelling way possible, then get the books out to fans, schools, libraries, book fairs everywhere. We believe this creative and publishing partnership is an important step towards our goal to make Robert Smalls a household name and in getting a movie or series into production.

This is the first issue of the four planned comic books that will ultimately comprise the full graphic novel. With a goal of eventually releasing a feature film, we raised over 150K via Kickstarter this past summer to create the graphic novel, which will act as the underlying IP and first draft of the storyboards.
