Ever Wonder What it's Like to Walk the Red Carpet?

As an entertainment company built to be owned by fans, Legion M has a mission to “open the gates of Hollywood,” and give our investors access to the kind of bucket-list opportunities typically reserved for industry insiders. This is just one of the unique perks of being a Legion M shareholder. Where else can you invest $40 in a company and get invited to a red carpet premiere?

But these are more than just “perks” – they are an important part of Legion M’s business strategy. The more engaged our shareholders are, the more likely they are to come out and see our movies, bring along their families and friends, and talk about them online. The more people know about the movies, the better the movies do – which benefits the company and all its shareholders.

It’s a virtuous cycle – a flywheel that helps propel Legion M forward.

As Legion M “levels-up” as a company, we’re gaining more and more access to events like these. For example, earlier this year we launched our first ever “Rolling Red Carpet Tour” for the premiere of William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill. Today, we’re looking at the possibility of launching two more tours this fall to support the upcoming releases of My Dead Friend Zoe and The Man In The White Van. There’s no guarantee we’ll do tours for these films (the respective distributors will have the final say), but we’re fighting like hell to ensure that whatever the premiere strategy is, it’s done with Legion M’s shareholders in mind.

Legion M has been responsible for dozens of celebrity driven events during our short history, ranging from film festival premieres to red carpet screenings to a “Hollywood Houseparty with Stan Lee.” Check out the videos below to get a taste of what some of these past events were like.

Just keep in mind that these are more than parties – the three events highlighted below combined to generate nearly a half million dollars in Legion M revenue via ticket sales, sponsorships, and merchandise. It’s a great example of how good fun can be good business.

Never been to one of our red carpet events? Keep your eyes peeled for the next opportunity. And if you aren’t already an investor, there’s still time to join us by investing in Round 9 on StartEngine. Hopefully we’ll see you at our next event!

SHATNER LA PREMIERE The release date for You Can Call Me Bill happened to coincide with William Shatner’s 93rd Birthday. We took the opportunity to celebrate with a red carpet premiere and afterparty featuring Kevin Smith that happened on a Culver City soundstage – at the same place he filmed the 1965 pilot of Star Trek!

SHATNER NEW YORK PREMIERE What better place for a New York premiere than Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center? In conjunction with a press tour that included stops on the Today Show, Kelly Clarkson, and Anderson Cooper, Legion M hosted a red carpet premiere with a nearly sold-out crowd that featured a magical Q&A with William Shatner, the director Alexandre O. Phillipe, and renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.

HOLLYWOOD HOUSEPARTY WITH STAN LEE In 2017, Legion M united fans to give Stan Lee an amazing gift – a handprint ceremony at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Afterwards we celebrated with an epic “Hollywood Houseparty with Stan Lee” at a "Stark Mansion" in the Hollywood Hills. The proceeds from the party helped subsidize the costs of the handprint ceremony.
