Legion M Acquires Nicolas Cage Likeness License!

After a year-and-a-half of negotiation and persistence, we have closed a contract with Nicolas Cage for his likeness rights as his character “Red Miller” from Mandy. This means we’re finally creating the first ever officially licensed “Red Miller” merchandise! 

This is a major accomplishment for the Legion for several reasons. First, there is not a lot of Nicolas Cage merchandise in the market, and there is a reason for that! Nicolas Cage doesn't grant his likeness rights often, and most of what you see in the marketplace now is bootleg. With this new deal, Legion M is now one of the few licensors with rights to Nicolas Cage’s likeness from one of his films. All of our products are 100% official and approved by Nicolas Cage himself!

Second, Mandy continues to be one of our top IPs for merchandise sales and licensing. Revenue from Mandy merch has grown each year, and the property has proven to be a very effective way for us to grow the Legion M community. The fact that we can now offer the Mandy fanbase a whole new line of “Red Miller” product with Nicolas Cage’s likeness will hopefully continue to drive that growth.

Third, having “Red Miller’s” likeness also now opens up a wide variety of new product categories and licensing partnerships that we may not have been able to participate in previously. 

All that said, this is a big accomplishment for the whole Legion and will hopefully be a solid revenue generator for years to come.
