April 2024 Rewind

Spring has sprung… but we aren’t stopping to smell the flowers just yet. So as we journey into May, let’s take a quick look back at everything Legion M has been up to over the last month.

  • A Stellar Conclusion for “William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill” Live Events — Punctuated by an incredible solar eclipse, April 8th marked the last of our epic “Rolling Red Carpet” live events for William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill. It was the culmination of 5 special events, multiple TV appearances, tons of press, and several parties for our intrepid documentary – and what a ride it’s been!

  • World Premiere Performance Run of “The Boy Who Loved Batman” Announced — Our Broadway-bound (hopefully!) adaptation of Michael Uslan’s memoir, The Boy Who Loved Batman, is having its world premiere at the Straz Center for Performing Arts in Tampa, FL on October 1st!

  • William Shatner In Your Living Room? — If you didn’t have a chance to see William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill while it was in theaters, we’ve got great news! It’s now available digitally on-demand on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and everywhere you buy or rent movies online.

  • “The Man in the White Van” East Coast Premiere in Sunny Florida — The epic East Coast premiere of The Man in the White Van took place at the Sarasota Film Festival, and if you weren’t able to make it, we’ve got all the highlights (including a surprise guest) for you right here.

  • Special “Defiant: The Story of Robert Smalls” Kickstarter Perk Sent Out — If you backed our Robert Smalls graphic novel via Kickstarter, be sure to check your Kickstarter notifications and/or email for an extra special delivery.

Since the amazing premiere of “My Dead Friend Zoe” at SXSW, we've been engaged in intensive discussions with buyers and distributors, guided by the expert CAA team. These conversations have been promising, with numerous partners expressing keen interest in bringing My Dead Friend Zoe to audiences, including theatrical release! As we eagerly anticipate the next chapter in this journey, we want to take a moment to share/re-share some of the more poignant reviews that capture the essence of MDFZ:

Now that William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill is available on VOD, we’ve got downloadable trailers, posters and more, so you can share your love of this thought-provoking doc with all your friends.
