INSIDER #067
MAY 2024 REWIND
We’re gearing up for an incredible summer, but before we dive in, let’s reflect back on what the Legion was up to in May.
DEFIANT Update: Legion M's most ambitious project reaches a new milestone - On May 13th, we marked the anniversary of a pivotal moment in the life of Robert Smalls — the day (in 1862) that Smalls embarked on his journey to freedom, pulling off one of the most audacious heists in history in the process — by officially launching Comic Issue #1 of Defiant: The Story of Robert Smalls.
Adult Swim featured Tobor creators' short, Sucks To Be The Moon - Eric Paperth & Tyler March — creators of the currently in development, Tobor: Family Destroyer — are absolutely hilarious and their award-winning short Sucks To Be The Moon recently aired on Adult Swim. Check out the short and learn more about these rising stars in comedy animation. Bonus Update: We are pitching Tobor to buyers right now and hope to have some good news to share soon. So stay tuned!
Memorial Day - On May 27th, we took a moment to honor and remember the service members and families who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We also shared information on two incredible veteran’s nonprofits — The Mission Continues and The Bob Woodruff Foundation — who are impact partners on our upcoming My Dead Friend Zoe film, and are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of veterans and their families.
DEFIANT Kickstarter Updates - Just as a quick reminder, if you backed the Defiant Kickstarter, be sure to log into your KS account to read all the latest backer updates! Plus if you’ve read Comic Issue #1, be sure to head over to Amazon and leave a review.
