Morgan Freeman, Gloria Reuben & Utkarsh Ambudkar Join Stellar MDFZ Cast!
We couldn't be more excited to announce that Morgan Freeman, Gloria Reuben, and Utkarsh Ambudkar have joined the cast of MY DEAD FRIEND ZOE (read about it in Deadline), in addition to the previously cast Ed Harris, Natalie Morales, and Sonequa Martin-Green.
This is a HUGE step forward for Legion M. We aren't just investing in this project -- we are producing it. That means that we get paid producer fees out of the production budget and own the rights to the final product.
This is also another great example of how Legion M is “leveling up” in the industry, demonstrating our ability to take a project from start to finish. In less than a year we developed this project with writer/director Kyle Hausmann-Stokes, attached a dream cast, prepared the production plan and secured the financing needed to get it made. The business ramifications of this for Legion M are huge (more on that later), and we believe will serve as a foundation (along with You Can Call Me Bill), for the next generation of Legion M projects!
If you aren't familiar with what My Dead Friend Zoe is about, we encourage you to take a minute to check out this page and hear the pitch directly from Kyle, the award winning filmmaker (and Bronze Star combat veteran) that wrote and is directing it. It's a great story with the power to entertain and inspire people around the world -- particularly those in the military veteran community. We couldn't be more proud to be a part of it.
