GLORY meets OCEAN'S 11 in the thrilling TRUE story of the most audacious heist in US history!

Today we are thrilled and honored to announce a new movie in development that is many years (some might say centuries) in the making. Along with the Wolper Organization (producers of "Roots") and legendary actor, director, producer & Legion M advisor Bill Duke (Mandy, Predator, "Black Lightning"), we are rallying fans to turn this incredible true story into a feature film entitled Defiant, inspired by the life of Captain Robert Smalls.

FROM MEME TO SCREEN...

We were first introduced to Captain Smalls a couple years ago when somebody posted this meme in the Legion M private Facebook group. It quickly became clear that our community (which was only a few thousand people at the time) would, as the post puts it, "watch the HELL" out of a Robert Smalls movie.

Then something unexpected happened. One of our investors told us they had written a script about Captain Smalls and asked if we'd like to read it. So we did. And it was good. Really good.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

Since then, we've made it our mission get this movie made. It's Glory meets Ocean's 11 — an amazing and uplifting story about the most audacious heist in American History. AND IT'S ALL TRUE!!

Today Legion M is over 125,000 members and investors strong, and we believe the story of Robert Smalls deserves to be more than just a meme. We're working diligently to attach a creative team who will do justice to this man and his story — starting by finding the right director and lead actor.
