DEFIANT: Development Update #1

After announcing our project DEFIANT, the true story of Robert Smalls, the response was immediate and overwhelming! As promised, here is our first update on the project:

First off, we have been blown away by the support this film is seeing. Posts like the one below (with over 100K likes, and growing every hour) demonstrate the massive level of interest that exists for this film.

Our job now is to parlay this grassroots enthusiasm into traction for the film. Getting movies made is hard, but as a fan-owned company we know that when enough people talk, Hollywood listens!

To that end, we're currently working with Endeavor Content to send an offer to one of the "Top Directors" listed on the voting page. Whether or not this person accepts our offer will depend on many things (Do they like the script? What is their availability? What other contractual obligations do they have?). As you can imagine, top-tier directors like these are very hard to get, but we're not going to stop until we've got one!

If you want to help, the best thing you can do is spread the word. Share the link below with your friends — if we can get enough people saying "I want to see this movie!", we can make this happen.
