Legion M ROCKED Comic Con@Home 2020!

Just a few short months ago, we all learned that the king of all cons, San Diego Comic Con, was taking its live event off the calendar for 2020 due to COVID-19. And that hit particularly close to home for us here at Legion M, as many of our members and investors came to us through San Diego Comic Con. We’ve been a part of the festivities for as many years as we’ve been in business, and it was sad to think we wouldn’t all be together in the Gaslamp quarter this summer.

But news of the virtual version, Comic Con@Home, quickly spread and perked us all back up! Legion M was excited and proud to be a huge part of the con this year — from a dedicated panel on the Comic Con schedule to brand new merchandise to over 30 hours of gaming content on our LegionM.tv channel! If you missed out, don’t worry — we’ve got a breezy wrap up on all things Legion M and Comic Con@Home below! And if you were there with us, well, why not relive the magic?

Check out everything Legion M brought to the con scene this past weekend!

ARCHENEMY TEASER

Comic Con@Home saw the FIRST EVER LOOK at Legion M’s upcoming project with Spectrevision, Archenemy! You don’t have to look too closely to peep Legion M investor Matt Conkling’s El Camino, which is driven by our hero Joe Manganiello. The teaser has already garnered more than 30k views across the internet, and dozens of hits in the press. Take a look at the teaser below, and get hyped for when this film hits theatres next year!

Archenemy is produced by Legion M, a “fan-owned” entertainment company that uses crowdfunding for its productions, alongside Voltage Pictures and Spectrevision. Notably, this collaboration produced Mandy, the ultra-gory hallucination of a film starring Nicolas Cage that was immediately heralded as a cult classic. Archenemy’s trailer here clearly wants to tap into the same vibe, emphasizing blood and style, promising something a good deal more grindhouse than standard superhero fare.

Also, interestingly enough, funding for Archenemy was partially provided by Legion M, which bills itself as the first fan-owned entertainment company. Since its inception in 2016, Legion M claims to have raised over $10 million from 25,000 investors; its previous feature projects include Mandy, the David Tennant starrer Bad Samaritan, and Kevin Smith’s Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
