Show me the MoneyShow, Orlando!

Legion M is always up for trying something different, and The MoneyShow Orlando, which was held February 6-8, 2020 in Florida, was no exception!

MoneyShow is a global network of investing and trading education platforms, and, according to its website, it “presents an extensive agenda of live and online events that attract over 75,000 investors, traders and financial advisers around the world.” The Orlando show is one of its most well attended, and the conference presents seminars from investment experts, authors and advisers about all types of investment opportunities, methods and industries.

As one of the world’s most successful JOBS Act companies, The MoneyShow felt that Legion M could be a differentiator at their Orlando conference. President Jeff Annison and COO/head of content Terri Lubaroff introduced thousands of attendees to its alternative investment opportunity to get on the ground floor of a pre-IPO start-up built from day one to be owned by fans. The Legion M booth was one of the most festive at the show with a red carpet, a step and repeat, and yes – even Paul and Jeff’s real-life Emmy award – for interested parties to snap a photo and get a taste of Hollywood!

Legion M’s panel at 1 p.m. Saturday entitled Disrupting Hollywood: How Legion M is Uniting Investors to Shape the Future of Film and TV was well attended and filled with interested investors. Terri discussed how projects get made in Hollywood and delivered a quick overview of how our slate works, while Jeff gave the audience an in-depth primer on start-up investing.  There were tons of questions after our presentation, and our booth remained busy until the very end of the show Saturday evening.

It was surprising how many people were unaware of the advantages of investing in early-stage companies via the JOBS Act, and we felt like we educated many potential investors – and even some new ones who invested that weekend!
